Summary:
A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Devanand Sarkar in the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics and the VCU Institute of Molecular Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine. The focus of this position will be to study gene function and evaluate therapeutic strategies in hepatocellular carcinoma.
Required Qualifications:
New PhD graduates with strong background and expertise in cell and molecular biology and biochemical techniques as well as experience in CRISPR-Cas9, nanoparticle-mediated siRNA delivery and working with mouse models are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates who are eligible for NIH-sponsored training grants are preferred
This is a restricted position and continued employment is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance.
