Job Summary

This is a part-time opportunity for individuals interested in community-engaged and health-related research. We are looking for coordinators (social workers, community health workers) who can speak Farsi or Dari, Arabic, Kirundi, and Kinyarwanda. You will be paid $30 per hour. The coordinator will work on a research project to explore food insecurity among refugees under the supervision of Dr. Nasser Sharareh.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate in Farsi or Dari, Arabic, Kirundi, and/or Kinyarwanda.
  • Interview refugees in their preferred language.
  • Translate documents from and to English.
  • Travel to different sites to conduct interviews (all locations are in Salt Lake City). You will also take a few training before conducting interviews.
  • Each coordinator will spend around 100 hours within 2 months on this project.
