Research Associate Position - Cardiovascular Medicine

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of Lung Biology, developmental biology, cellular and molecular biology, regenerative medicine, biochemistry. Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include establishing an independent research program focusing on characterizing novel human and mouse lung cellular niches; designing, implementing and interpreting data; summarizing findings and preparing manuscripts and sponsored fund reports; engaging diverse stakeholders, presenting findings at research conferences, supervising and overseeing the training of staff and trainees, serving as instructor or guest speaker for UPENN DOM courses as needed.
