Job Description

The candidate will apply state-of-the-art molecular, immunological, cell biological, microbiological, and scRNA-seq techniques to elucidate fundamental issues in host-pathogen interactions, human disease, and environmental microbiology. The candidate will work independently to pursue highly interdisciplinary, collaborative, and fast-paced projects. Candidates with expertise in virology, innate immunity, environmental microbiology, bacteriology, fungal biology, cancer biology, autoimmunity, and/or fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry expertise are encouraged to apply. The candidate will mentor trainees in the lab, including undergraduates, grad students, and postdocs. The candidate will follow University and lab safety and compliance guidelines, and also, manage collaborative interactions with scientists at MU and other institutions. A recent PhD or MD, and an excellent track record of peer-reviewed publications, are required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $50,367.29 - $91,392.16 per year

Grade: GGS-010
