Standing or walking for extended periods of time and lifting/pushing/pulling objects up to 50 pounds.

Shift
  • Up to 40 hours per week, daytime or evening, including weekends and holidays. Work week includes 2 days off each week (Sunday-Saturday work week).
  • Up to 2 meals provided at UK Champions Kitchen PER shift .
  • Actual work schedule provided two weeks in advance and is based on various activities and program needs of the College and sponsored summer programs.
  • Guaranteed days off on MAY 27 and JUNE 30 – JULY 2 . Other schedule conflicts addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Job Summary

The College of Fine Arts seeks applicants for Summer Program & Technical Support Assistants for multiple Summer Outreach Activities including: Grand Night for Singing, Governors School of the Arts, Dance Intensive, Orff/Schulwork Training, Summer Trumpet Institute, Dalcroze Training, and classroom/studio support.

Summer activities begin MAY 15, 2024 and continue until JULY 31, 2024 . Program & Technical Support Assistants work as a team. Duties include:
  • Daily program support
  • Assist with technical support of performances, studio time, and events
  • Organize and implement maintenance and operation of performance-related equipment
  • Load in/out tasks
  • Opening day and final day events
  • Other day-to-day management and coordination of technology needs in a wide range of spaces across campus
This position provides paid day and/or evening on-boarding and trainings to include minors on campus policies, golf cart trainings, IT overview of audio-visual needs in classrooms, and theatre technical system instruction for various lighting, sound, and projection needs in the Singletary Center and the Fine Arts Building.
