Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include the ability to regularly stand/walk for several hours at a time; stand or walk with objects weighing up to 25 lbs.; and lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to or over 50 lbs.
Shift
Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00am – 5:30pm; call coverage required including weekends and holidays.
Job Summary
This position will provide diagnostic imaging for patients to assist the pt.'s physician in expediting needed care. They will also assist in a QA review to maintain professional standards for themselves and student technologists that they are called upon to assist.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical radiology technician experience with experience working in Cath Lab; have direct patient care experience; be well organized; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); enjoy working independently as well as closely with their co-workers in a supportive team environment; outstanding computer skills (to include Microsoft Office); above average customer service skills; active listening skills; and a thorough understanding of HIPPA policies.

Preferred Education/Experience
Experience working in a cardiac cath lab, ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
