40 hours/week. Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; and may require occasional evening and week-end hours.
Job Summary
A primary responsibility of this position is to engage in programmatic advising for first-generation students. Strategies such as intrusive advising, prescriptive advising and proactive advising will help inform the engagement strategy that best fits the student. This position will also lead workshops to educate students and parents about navigating college, adjusting to college life and campus support networks. The program advisor associate will assist in developing and implementing communication plans and strategies to engage our students and will supplement the advising experience provided by the academic advisor.
