Sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods including data entry; repetitive motions, and occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 10 lbs.

Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Job Summary
A Patient Financial Services Representative's main responsibilities include customer service, department specific tasks, administrative duties, communication skills, and accurate documentation. The duties of Representatives include following direct supervisor directives, ensuring patients receive superior service through quality work, and ultimately contributing to the successful resolution of patient accounts. Representatives ensure department policy and procedure is fully understood and followed.
Multiple positions available.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented; possess in-depth HIPAA knowledge; have the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; be proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); have solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills; and have a high level of respect for confidentiality.

Preferred Education/Experience
Associate's degree; third party insurance claims follow-up/collections experience; medical, office and/or clerical work preferred. Previous experience working with patient accounts/ HIPAA is highly preferred.
