Job Summary
The proven finance leader selected for this role will serve as a strategic member of a Senior Finance Leadership team whose mission is to advance and build upon a rich tradition of achievement and progressive growth in quality care delivery for a market leading, state-of-the-art, academic medical center and fully integrated healthcare delivery system that is focused on the wellness and enhanced health of patients within a broad and diverse service area. Successful candidate will work with a progressive executive and administrative teams who understand and appreciate the importance of financial services to the overall well-being of the organization and its mission. The chosen candidate will provide leadership in accounting, general ledger, special projects, financial statements preparation, financial analysis, strategic contracts, and ongoing consultation with departmental leaders to establish and implement financial health throughout the footprint of the enterprise. Solid, proactive leadership style, detail-oriented industrious work ethic, strategic thinking, communications acumen, superb financial administrative skills, and process-oriented approach will distinguish the chosen candidate. The scope of responsibility and the progressive growth of this pre-eminent healthcare operation combine to create a rare opportunity for the proven financial leader professionally prepared to advance to a role at this level.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Minimum of fifteen years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare industry: in an academic medical center, hospital or ambulatory setting, medical group, physician practice within a health system.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. Master's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration and/or Professional Certification, CMA or CPA is preferred. Required related experience: Minimum of fifteen years of progressive financial leadership experience in healthcare industry: in an academic medical center, hospital or ambulatory setting, medical group, physician practice within a health system.
