JOB SUMMARY
The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for a full-time position of Financial Assistant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Business Services, the Financial Assistant position will assist in processing all business-related aspects of the Division of Athletics. Responsibilities will include: processing invoices; researching and contacting vendors to fulfill purchase requests; preparing financial information such as monthly financial statements on an as needed basis; providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service in processing requests and transactions, including transactions with UConn Foundation; serving as a resource to students, staff and others on Athletic Business Office and general administrative procedures; process hire, rehire, and separation payroll transactions for the student workforce in the Division of Athletics; coordinate I-9 processing for all employees; and perform additional duties as directed by the Director of Business Services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This is a full-time, permanent position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with different departments.
- Possess a strong work ethic and customer service skills.
- Ability to use sound business judgment in accordance with strict purchasing policies and procedures.
- Experience working in a dynamic office or organizational setting.
- Familiarity with business management software (Jaggaer, Peoplesoft, Felix, Kuali, Concur, etc.).
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
