Building Official

Building Official: The Town of East Haven is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Building Official. This is a highly responsible position requiring Certification by the State of Connecticut as a Building Official, plus mandatory continuing education through seminars. Qualified candidates should be a graduate of a vocational technical school with an emphasis on construction, electricity, plumbing or HVAC plus five years progressively responsible experience in the field of building construction; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the above knowledge, ability and skill and must have a valid Connecticut Driver's License. The salary for this position is $89,649/year, 35 hours per week.
