Job Purpose
The overall purpose of this job is to assist the Senior Coordinator of Facilities/Events and the Assistant AD for External in day-to-day operations. This position assists in game management of all 15 sports and serves as the game administrator for baseball, volleyball, softball, and soccer events. The position also assists in administrative duties with motor pool, contract bidding, ground maintenance, and facilities projects. Assists with marketing, fundraising and other events as assigned.

Essential Functions
Game Management. Supervises and manages athletic staff at home baseball, softball, volleyball, and soccer events. Responsible for venue set up, public safety, equipment set up, and operation, as well as the coordination of game operations staff, officials, coaches, etc. Responsible for overall function and quality of event from the administrative standpoint. Also assists with same responsibilities at football, men’s and women’s basketball, and other events hosted at TTU athletic venues. Facilities and Maintenance. Responsible for coordinating mowing of sports turf fields. Work also involves some general maintenance and ground maintenance as part of game setup. Assists with management of facilities projects for all athletic venues. Coordinates with other university departmental staff on a daily basis. Ensures that athletic facilities are reflective of the image required by the Athletics Director. Responsible for writing and proposing bids for facility equipment, project management, motor pool, and expense and purchasing tracking. Helps manage a motor pool including tracking mileage and expenses and vehicle maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Two years of experience in a relevant area. Understanding of turf management and equipment upkeep. Ability to be able to handle adverse situations that could arise with fans attending sporting events. Effective communication and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in sports administration, sports management or a related field.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
