The Clinic Assistant is responsible for providing supportive patient care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician in accordance with policies and procedures of the practice. Prepares patients to see the healthcare provider for exams, takes and relays precise messages, follows the healthcare provider's needs for scheduling tests, collecting specimens and directing patients to the appropriate resources. Stocks rooms in preparation for the daily work schedule. Takes inventory of medical and exam room supplies.
Qualifications include: High school Graduate or Equivalent. Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Vocational Training Program. Requires previous experience in a healthcare setting. Prefer prior experience in a hospital or clinic setting. Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant. Must have current BLS certification and Non-violent crisis intervention training is required every two years on a rolling calendar. Basic Computer competency skills are also expected for this position.
*Part-time, Days, M-F, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., 20 hours/week, 40 hours bi-weekly, no weekends or holidays.
