MultimediaEngineerJob Description:
The Multimedia Engineer will provide support in the development and delivery of multimedia content. The associated tasks include but are not limited to video/photo capture and editing, composition, audio capture and editing, animation, and desktop publishing.
The position will work closely with the IT teams in the planning, selection and implementation of multimedia technology.
With the increase focus on expanding multimedia adoption, the Multimedia Engineer will conduct trainings and one-on-consultation appoints to guide the clients through the development, enhancement, and deployment of multimedia content.
Furthermore, the Multimedia Engineer will work to expand the usage of the university lecture capture systems and the multimedia equipment loan program.
Finally, the Multimedia Engineer will continue to examine new technologies and explore their potential value to the university's mission.
Requirements:
Multimedia Engineer should have completed a have completed a bachelor's degree program or higher in instructional design, computer science, graphic design, or equivalent field. Non-bachelor's degrees are accepted with equivalent years of experience and relevant professional certifications.
The Multimedia Engineer should have at two years of multimedia experience. Experience working with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications.
Demonstrated experience working in collaboration with a team as an effective team member. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse clientele.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Organizational skills and attention to detail is critical.
Exercise good judgment, logic and troubleshooting skills to anticipate and solve problems independently. Proven experience in handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience developing, training, and supporting faculty and administrative staff in the use of instructional technology. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, theannual/hourlysalaryrangefor this position is$58,500 - $65,000. St. John's University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
This position may be relocated to any of St. John's University's physical locations at any time.
