Registered Behavior Technician

Southeast Missouri State University Autism Center for Diagnosis and Treatment

Full Time Registered Behavior Technician

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to our clients under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst
  • Implement individualized programs for children based on ABA principles as written by the Behavior Analyst
  • Accurately record information on client progress throughout the session
  • Complete daily progress notes within 24 hours
  • Be courteous and professional with clients, families, and community organizations
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other professionals
  • Provide 30 hours of client contact services
  • Abide by all ethical guidelines set forth by the BACB
  • Maintain the SEMO Autism Center's reputation for an organized, team environment
  • Behave professionally with all staff members, clients, and caregivers


Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Hold a current Registered Behavior Technician Certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or be able to obtain within 30 days of start date
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Able to work with young children
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
