Pennybyrn has an opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to join our team. The CFO serves as a key colleague, leader, and strategic financial partner to the President, Leadership Team, and Finance Committee of the Board of Directors, as well as provides innovative, dynamic leadership that supports our mission and goals. This position is responsible and accountable for direct management of Finance and Accounting, Budgeting, Forecasting and Strategy, Financial Reporting, Auditing, Investments, Risk Management, Information Technology, Investments and Cash Management, and leadership of the Business Office/IT team.
This opportunity is open to exempt-level, financial professionals with 5+ years' experience in a chief financial officer role or second-level finance role, preferrably within a Healthcare or Senior Living environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA is preferred.
- Proven experience with complex operational and financial data, with ability to present to stakeholders in a comprehensible way.
- Proven experience managing finance, accounting, auditing, operating and capital budgets, financial reporting, treasury, banking, long-range strategic financial planning, and information systems.
- Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid, third-party reimbursements, GAAP reporting, bond financing, risk management, Sarbanes-Oxley rules, and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
- A highly visible, transparent style of servant leadership; approachable, personable, optimistic, trustworthy, and leads by example.
- Superior oral and written communication, including public speaking.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, as defined by HIPAA and Corporate Compliance.
- Ability to commit to and advocate for Pennybyrn's mission, values, and vision.
