Teaching Faculty, Cognitive Psychology

The Department of Psychology (https://psych.la.psu.edu/) at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a Teaching Faculty of Psychology position (non-tenure-track faculty appointment) to begin August 2024. This position will be filled at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor.

Preference will be given to candidates able to teach courses in cognitive psychology, in addition to courses related to biopsychology and core courses such as introductory psychology, research methods, and statistics. This position will include resident and online instruction and normal university service. These are full-time positions with a teaching load of three courses per semester during the academic year.

Candidates must hold a Master's degree or higher in Psychology (or related field) by the appointment date. Previous teaching experience and a Ph.D. are preferred.

Rank and length of term are determined by education and qualifications. This is a non-tenure-track, term position with an excellent possibility of renewal.
