The Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago seeks a board certified or eligible developmental behavioral pediatrician to join our team at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor.
The ideal candidate will be a strong clinician with interest in program development, clinical service and quality management, scholarly work, and training of fellows, residents, and medical students. A healthy work/life balance in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, scholarship, and administration is required. Opportunities to collaborate with world class researchers at the Lurie's Children's Hospital of Chicago Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute and Northwestern University's Institute for Developmental Science will be encouraged. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting. We are a rapidly growing program with opportunities for leadership and DBP fellowship training program development.
Qualified candidates will hold an M.D. or D.O., be board certified or board eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, and eligible for licensure in Illinois.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable with a wide range of ages and developmental and behavioral conditions. Spanish is important/preferred, but not required. Our clinical teams include psychologists, social workers, nurses, advance practice providers, therapists, and resource specialists. There is opportunity for interdisciplinary team leadership for those who have relevant experience and interest. Participating in our clinical programs will occur at Lurie Children's main hospital and/or outreach sites.
We expect the successful candidate to train residents, and medical students, and clinical fellows as we build a DBP Fellowship Program.
The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.
