The Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist will be responsible for performing HR-related duties and working closely with HR management to support company HR programs and general office and facilities management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, onboarding, facilities management, and supporting the HR manager and HR supervisor in employee relations and employment law compliance.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Recruiter
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process for all exempt, nonexempt, and temporary employees.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the organization's needs.
- Posts open positions, screens applications, and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules and assists with interviews, overseas preparation of interview questions, and other hiring and selection materials.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifies and recommends salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Performs other HR generalist duties and projects as assigned.
- Up to 15% travel is required, which may require limited weekends.
Facilities Management and General Office
- Coordinates, make recommendations, and works with vendors regarding facility repairs, maintenance, and remodeling.
- Office lease renewal and/or relocation- (a.) Assists with the planning, facilitating, and finalizing of the renewal or relocation process according to facility, guidelines, and budget with the regional office. (b.) Arranges and processes the initial payment and schedules reoccurring monthly payments. (c.) Keeps track of rent changes for each regional office.
- Property & Casualty Insurance - (a.) Assists HR manager with insurance brokers to coordinate property, casualty, workers' comp, and auto insurance. (b.) Submits and processes insurance claims.
- Reviews and processes department invoices for payment.
- Facilitates safety and 5S by leading safety initiatives, meetings, and audits.
- Assists with J-SOX and maintains inter-department policy revisions and publications.
- Sets up JTB Concur travel and assists Expats with travel arrangements.
- Assists overseas assignee's with relocation: apartment arrangements and apartment vacate arrangement in accordance with Oversea Assignment Policy.
- Manages general office duties by ordering and restocking supplies, managing key fobs, and planning, coordinating, and implementing various monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate and holiday events.
- Assists with month-end reports, fixed asset reports and take minutes during dedicated meetings.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from a two-year college or university and 5+ related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience in human resources and/or managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process. 5S experience or leading a Safety Committee is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take the initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, ability to multi-task, and priorities work.
- Must be knowledgeable of office management systems and procedures.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
