Duties and Responsibilities
Research specialist II position available in Loyola University Medical Center's Burn and Shock Trauma Research Institute, which hosts investigators studying the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying complications from traumatic injuries. Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon Dr. Ashley Levack, MD, MAS & NIH funded researcher Dr. John Callaci, PhD are seeking a research specialist for a collaborative position in their respective laboratories for the translational study of the delayed fracture healing. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and previously acquainted with basic laboratory skills and safety including aseptic technique and cell culture. Excellent written communication skills, ability to maintain detailed study protocols and independently perform experiments is required. Experience in research laboratories with microbiology and cell and molecular biology preferred. Two year commitment preferred.

Required: Bachelors Degree
Preferred: Masters Degree
Minimum Experience:
Required: 5+ years of previous job-related experience. Completion of relevant coursework is considered equivalent experience.
