The future will not be televised, it will be streamed. TownNews, a digital media solutions provider for leading broadcasters, is looking to add a Video Ad Operations Manager. An ideal candidate will have previous experience serving in an ad operations role with an emphasis on video. This position will be responsible for driving video revenue growth and improving overall yield.
Responsibilities
• Help tv broadcasters manage their transformation from over-the-air to OTT by developing and maintaining a best in class video demand stack
• Test and perform quality assurance on ad tags and creatives to ensure validation and specs are met prior to campaign launch
• Maintain a solid understanding of ad platforms, data sources, and business intelligence system relying on these variable inputs to develop data-driven recommendations for improving yield or operational effectiveness.
• Conduct monthly business reviews for a portfolio of partners
• Provide advertising leadership for our video suite across CTV/OTT, iOS, Android and web apps
• Lead the direction and development of our exciting new FAST platforms across Roku, FireTV and AppleTV
• Work with revenue operations team on developing video solutions for publishers within the network
• Collaborate with the sales department to improve and fine tune our offerings
• Work fluidly between each of our ad servers and SSP partners to activate direct sold campaigns, programmatic guaranteed, private marketplace and remnant inventory deals
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) around trafficking and QA, as well as creates custom solutions for new edge cases
• Desire to deep dive into analytics and collaborate with other analytics team members
• Working on Ad placements optimization towards current demand stack and campaigns
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and address ideas to improve the process
• Report to management on the ongoing activity
• Manage the monthly billing cycle of the managed activity
• Advance new agenda and ideas to increase revenue and profits of the managed activity.
Requirements
• Ad tech background: knowledge of both technical aspects (display and video ad serving, common standards, VAST, VPAID, basic Javascript) & business aspects (knowledge of ad tech ecosystem, yielding technologies, etc.)
• Experience with video ad servers (Spring Serve, GAM, FreeWheel) and web debugging tools (Charles, Fiddler, etc.), Order Management Systems, Business Intelligence tools
• 4+ years' experience in digital ad operations at a publisher, ad tech company ad agency or an ad network
• Knowledge of data analytics and optimization products required
• Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to use tools to create insights to improve our product
• Entrepreneurial self-starter who deals well with ambiguity
• Will be both a strong, influential cross-functional team leader
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Strong sense of ownership and track record of quality work
• Experience with SalesForce a plus
