Executive Director: Business Lending Assistance Program
Job Summary
The Executive Director (ED) of Small Business Lending assistance program is a strategic leadership position at the lead office with Pennsylvania network wide responsibility. The position is a combination of a business finance consultant coach/mentor to a diverse team of technical assistance finance advisors and two subawards (ie. state Manufacturing Extension Program and the Penn State University Legal Clinic). This position will act as the strategic leader for a new technical assistance (TA) program funded by U.S. Treasury and the PA Dept of Community and Economic Development. The ED will have five direct reports including the assistant director, director of accounting services, intake/training coordinator, administrative assistant, four GA's and two staff members. The position acts as the Principal Investigator of the $5.5 million grant over five years. He/she reports to the Pennsylvania SBDC (PASBDC) State Director, and is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of initiatives funded under the guidelines of the U.S. Treasury State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI within the Pennsylvania SBDC network.
The position acts as the strategic leader and outreach officer from KU with the designated SSBCI lenders in Pennsylvania (17-CDFI's, 52-CEDO's, 4-Ben Franklin programs and 2- Life Science Greenhouse) to build referral relationships with these lending organizations for the technical assistance program.
Official offer of employment and start date will be contingent upon the execution of a signed grant award from the funder and the release of the grant funds to the SSBCI, which we anticipate happening in mid-2023
Minimum Qualifications
BS business or related field, small business financing experience, 3 years federal grant management experience, 3 years senior level management experience leading a team of professionals. Currency in small business underwriting, demonstrated experience in developing loan projections for various economic development small business lenders and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's in business or related field, two years lending to small business operations experience

The anticipated starting salary is based on the current applicable CBA or Management pay scale, depending on the job classification.
