Job Summary
This is a full-time, ten-month, faculty appointment in the Advanced Manufacturing Division of Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC). The primary teaching assignment will be at the BCTC Georgetown Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) Campus. However, faculty are subject to be required to teach a full course load at any BCTC campus location or combination of BCTC campus locations at any time during the spring and fall semester. The position requires flexibility of scheduling which may include evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate must possess excellent computer, communication, and presentation skills. In addition, the selected individual will assume a responsible role in the development and delivery of instructional processes that include the development and delivery of online/remote lecture and laboratory instruction and in-person lecture and laboratory instructional methodologies.
Job Duties:
Provide quality instruction to students in both theory and practice by developing and delivering on-line and on-campus instruction of courses related to the industrial / manufacturing maintenance environment and related subject areas such as but not limited to: A.C and D.C Electrical Concepts, Electronic Circuits and Devices, Robotics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Electric Motor Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers, Maintaining Industrial Equipment / bearings, gears, sprockets, pully’s, belts etc.
Prepare lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment and progress.
Provide syllabi in a timely manner for each course taught that is current and meets college standards.
Provide input regarding curriculum development and enhancement.
Provide advising and career-related counseling for current and potential students.
Participate in recruitment and retention activities.
Actively serve on department and college committee assignments.
Complete all college and KCTCS mandatory training and activities in addition to other professional development opportunities relevant to individual needs.
Develop and maintain working relationships with local industry representatives.
Set example of appropriate dress and professional behaviors for students.
Set and implement high expectation standards related to safety, professional behaviors including punctuality - respect for leadership – teamwork – written and verbal communication skills.
Maintain order and discipline in the teaching/learning environment.
Understand and implement workplace organization (5s) standards.
Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Associate degree AND
Related work experience
