Position: HR Generalist
Location: Bronx, New York (on the campus of Lehman College)
Imagine Early Learning Centers has an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist to partner with the HR Director, HR Recruiter and the Senior Management Team at our offices located on the Lehman College campus in the Bronx. This position is hybrid remote.

Job Description Duties and responsibilities:
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Utilize UKG Ready Software for HR transactions, ACA, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
- Develop, maintain and prepare reports (regular, ad hoc or queries), with varying levels of complexity. Train users (Admins, Directors) to modify and run reports as needed.
- Prepare the compensation cycle for annual salary increases and bonus determinations.
- Partner with the Finance Manager to calculate health insurance costs and Box 13 as part of the preparation of W-2's.
- Ensure ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) census data report and questionnaire are accurate and submitted timely.
- Conduct data integrity by performing annual audits utilizing reports.
- Communicate with UKG to troubleshoot matters relative to HR modules.
Benefits
- Ensure employees understand Imagine's benefits and facilitate timely enrollment utilizing Zoom meetings.
- Determine enrollment/disenrollment and waiver options elected by employees with respect to all Imagine benefit plans and process with insurance carriers.
- Responsible for processing all Leave of Absence tasks, including ADA return to work determinations.
- Maintain the Summary of Benefits Eligibility Chart and update for new legislations and/or regulations.
- Responsible for accruals, to include corrections, carryover, assignments, and transfers.
- Assess and ensure ACA benefit status and offerings are accurate for all employees on a monthly basis.
- Review, audit and correct codes for all 1095c's, submit the 1094c.
- Reconcile and ensure all benefit invoices are received by Finance.
- Maintain the Unemployment SIDES program for both NY and NJ.
- Run the Cafeteria 125 Non-Discrimination Test annually. Submit required corrections to Finance.
- Ensure COBRA Notices are forwarded to new hires and former employees.
- Partner with the HR Director to market and ensure that staff understand Imagine's ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan).
- Act as liaison for employee benefit questions. Train and support designated Benefits Advocates at each center.
- Assist and coordinate open enrollments throughout the year, including contact with brokers and preparing communications to employees. Market benefit options/programs.
- Implement new benefits and perks. Coordinate and market Imagine's Wellness Programs.
HR Administration
- Onboarding: Conduct new hire Orientation Zoom Meetings, discuss benefits.
- Responsible for developing, reviewing and completing all Year End Tasks.
- Prepare Wage Scales
- Ensure and maintain Recordkeeping Log and retention of HR documents.
- Partner with Marketing to prepare monthly HR Newsletters.
- Develop checklists and tools to facilitate tasks and projects.
- Maintain knowledge of new or changes to existing laws and their impact. Update job knowledge by participating in webinars and reading professional publications.
Compliance
- Prepare and submit the annual EEO-1 Survey Report. Conduct pay equity audits.
- Assist with required legislative regulations: ACA, Wage and Hour, Benefits.
- Prepare and submit Workforce Profile Reports to the Dept of Education.
- Allocate quarterly the MWR Report and submit required data to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years work experience in Human Resources or as an HR Generalist.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or a related field, required.
- HR certification in SHRM-CP, PHR, or aPHR a plus.
- Proficient computer skills: HRIS Platforms such as UKG, and Google Chrome/Drive required.
- Attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to accept responsibility for and follow through on all tasks and special projects assigned.
- Proficient written and verbal skills.
