connectRN is seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses specializing in Med-Surg, ICU, ER, and PCU/Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team in cities across the U.S. Your expertise and compassion will contribute to ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities by Role

  • PCU/Telemetry
    • Utilize your expertise as a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care and monitoring for patients in the telemetry unit on a per diem basis.
    • Assess and interpret patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs accurately, recognizing and promptly addressing any abnormalities.
    • Respond efficiently to emergent situations, including cardiac arrests or other medical emergencies, following established protocols and procedures.
  • ICU
    • Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including those with respiratory failure, septic shock, cardiac emergencies, and other life-threatening conditions.
    • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
    • Monitor and evaluate patients' vital signs, laboratory values, and clinical indicators, and intervene promptly to address changes in their condition.
    • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians and advanced practice providers.
    • Operate and maintain specialized equipment and devices used in critical care, such as ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and infusion pumps.
  • Med-Surg
    • Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg unit.
    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress, and report any changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
    • Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and guidelines.
  • Emergency
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients upon arrival, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
    • Triage patients based on acuity and prioritize care accordingly, ensuring timely interventions for those with life-threatening conditions.
    • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
    • Monitor patient progress closely, recognizing changes in condition and responding promptly with appropriate interventions.

General Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of employment or eligible compact state licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in designated specialty.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Depending on speciality, role may require certifications such as: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
  • Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations and adapt quickly to changing patient needs.
