As a Human Resources Generalist, the successful candidate provides daily support to the human resources department. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, providing client HR business partner support, employee relations, benefits coordination, talent acquisition/recruiting support, candidate interview facilitation, compensation analysis, worker's compensation support, talent management support, and special HR related projects. This position routinely interacts with internal employees and external clients will and provide responsible and administrative support to the HR Manager.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assists with day-to-day administrative functions of the HR department.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition and training and development.
- Assists HR Manager in developing tools and processes that help facilitate client projects and deliverables.
- Facilitates rewarding relationships and collaborates with employees and clients.
- Recruits, interviews and sources qualified job applicants for B&N client positions.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Assists with internal HR processes such as personnel file management, policy and procedure revisions and communication.
- Completes required reports and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Readily assists with special events, projects, and activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of HR experience, mining or industrial environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel, and familiarity with HRIS programs.
- SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
