Job Description:

Brightpoint Community College is seeking to fill two nine-month full-time teaching faculty positions available for the Fall 2023 semester in mathematics. The selected candidate will teach mathematics including college level and/or developmental courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats. Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester, student advising, course evaluation and development, serving on division and college committees, and the ability to attend and represent Brightpoint Community College at community events and professional meetings and conferences. Teaching assignments may be at both campuses to include a mix of day, night, and/or online classes.
KSA’s/Required Qualifications:
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university with at least 18 credits of graduate level mathematics courses.
The successful candidate must:
- Have the demonstrated ability to teach a range of math courses from developmental math through college level.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be willing to teach a combination of day, evening, weekend, and online classes with the ability to be flexible to work at any of the College’s locations.
- Be willing to adopt and teach new and emerging technologies and have a commitment to meeting the needs of and providing instruction to diverse populations.
- Successfully complete and pass a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in mathematics and prior teaching experience, especially at the postsecondary level. Prior experience using instructional technology.
