Description
Ball State University is seeking a part-time, semester-length, non-tenure-line faculty position for an Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of English to teach one class in a semester most likely in our award-winning, first-year writing program. This position will be a one-semester, non-renewable contract.
Instructors may also be assigned to teach a single course, if not in the Writing Program, in African American studies, English Education, literature, creative writing, applied linguistics, or professional writing depending on faculty expertise and departmental needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or related field from an accredited college or university by date of appointment and at least one year experience teaching first-year writing at the college level.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Diverse or Global Rhetorics, anti-racist pedagogy, and/or multi-modal composition.
