Human Resources Coordinator Full Time, 32 hours/week - Provides clerical and administrative support to HR Department

SUMMARY The Human Resources Coordinator provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource process. This role provides administrative support to the human resources function as needed, including record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responds to written and verbal employment verifications.
- Assist HR Generalist in preparation of job/career fairs.
- Maintains HRIS and personnel file information to keep database and personnel file up-to-date.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Prepares new employee files
- Files personnel documents in a timely manner.
- Makes copies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
- Participates in new employee orientation.
- Assists with HR reporting, including but not limited to: performance reviews and clinical license verification.
- Assists with the recruitment process which can include candidate screening, scheduling interviews and tracking the status of candidates in the HRIS .
- Offer employment, checks references, orders background searches and drug screenings.
- Maintains confidential information.
- Other duties may also be assigned.
CONTINUING EDUCATION The agency requires the position to complete 6 hours of continuing education per year covering topics that will contribute to improvements in carrying out the above responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, including managing multiple tasks at once. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of of one year of experience in a human resources role. Healthcare setting preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS If required to drive to carry out the duties of this position, current driver's license and automobile insurance as required by Tennessee State Law.
